Tracing a former resident

I am trying to trace a member of the Wood family who lived at Little Nuthall in the 1950-1970 period. I believe this was in Cranbrook but an alternative address gives Sissinghurst.
I am an archivist and need information regarding a diary that was donated by a member of the family to the Museum of The Royal Sussex Regiment in 1958.
Any help would be appreciated.
