Had a blast running which seemed effortless, notched a 2 min+ negative split with the last 10K at 6:23 pace! A nice drive and boat ride back home just in time for supper! Oh, and what a nice thing to have Howard Spear and his race announcer publically welcome the director of The Mount Desert Island Marathon over the PA system just before the gun. We race directors all know that we have much common ground in working together in bringing runners to Maine! Nice visiting with Howard after the run as well!
Its such a pleasure to run with people like Rolf Westphal, Ross Cameron and Sheri McCarthy-Piers for most of the race. It was fun to work together and help each other achive our goals! Great work to my fellow, "team sewage treatment" runners...laugh! Trust me you just had to be there!
