Second time's the charm

Just wanted to add my voice to all those grateful finishers who had an amazing marathon thanks to Gary and everyone involved in making this such a consistently memorable event! The course support (and the course itself) are simply awesome. A special thanks to the weather for cooperating! After walking MDI for the first time in stormy 2005 and finishing with blistered feet and chilled to the bone, I was determined to return one day in better conditions for the full MDI experience. Having been off the marathon circuit since then with some health issues, I would have been happy just to make it halfway this year (yeh, right), but I ended up finishing 15 minutes under my best time (yes, training does pay off). I'll always remember MDI 2007 as my comeback from some very hard times and I couldn't have picked a better marathon to regain my confidence and reaffirm my love for this sport. This one's gonna be hard to surpass - until next year, of course. Thanks again to all.
