Actually I've begun taking a few weeks off to "rest" the body/mind/soul, while taking stock of where to go for NEXT year. Then into the gym for some cross-training and low-impact cardio. Looking at doing all the Maine marathons again next year,(CGI Ultra gonna happen again?); but, then as a "new" 50 Stater figuring out other states to branch out to do without breaking the budget. Also planning to do all of the Aroostook Musterd series for "speed work", maybe the "Mud Mile" if it isn't scheduled for the same day as our 1/2 Marathon here in "the County".
Besides your New Year's Boston, what's up your sleeve??

Hey, gotta tell you a quick funny story. Waiting at the entrance of Central Park for the Olympic Trial runners to come through on NYCM w/e...out of the corner of my eye I noticed a couple that looked wicked familiar. We struck up a coversation to figure out which marathon/when and where we'd run together.... you guessed it! CGI Ultra, Chris Ertola from Long Island. Later in the day at the pasta feed in Cental Park bumped into several folks from Portland area who'd we'd met doing the Reach the Beach in NH this fall. I guess I should have bought a lottery ticket for PowerBall.
Maine running community, ain't it great!!! ;-)
