Peter Keeney is an animal, 3 hrs 15 on Sat followed by another 2+ hours on Sunday, I drank a nice bottle of Chianti with dinner last night and enjoyed a 2 cups of coffee this morning and another cup in BH after running down Crooked Rd, I was thinking about all the dig safe marks on the road and wondered why they always need to dig holes in the middle of the road, I had goat cheese on crackers for lunch and am still hungry. Now I'm going to the PO to send 5 returned timing chips back to Granite State race Services and I might get another cup of coffee at Pine Tree Market

: in the humble opinion of this club the
: invention of the Internet has in some
: respects been a boon for running and in
: others it has been a disaster.
:
: Take for instance the daily obligation to
: put everything into writing for the world to
: see featuring non-important details and
: splits for every mile and is it really
: important to know what, when and how much
: you eat not to mention do we really need to
: know when and if you used the bathroom?
:
: In the old days runners trained just as hard
: or even harder than they do now and it was
: more or less pure speculation on what they
: did to get there or for that matter what
: they ate.
:
: We all heard rumors of Bill Rodgers doing
: 140 mpw while devouring boxes of Twinkies
: but rarely was it ever concrete news from
: the proverbial horses mouth as in today.
: This lack of information drove us all to
: higher levels, because if 'he' MIGHT be
: doing something, then 'we' definitely
: SHOULD.
:
: With this said winter is a time to get
: stronger and become an even better runner.
: We encourage you to spend your time running
: not wasting time telling us stuff that is
: just not that important in the big picture.
:
: Run Strong and rest assured will be too!
