In the recent issue of Runners World, Amby tells of his "slow" side---in addition to his 8:45 2-mile (actually 8:44.+) he ran 8:51 against Sebsibe Mamo @Colby College (indoors)---I somehow got in the elite field w/them; big mistake (9:19)Seb won in 8:48--that was a couple of months before Boston----Amby seemed to have a knack @ winning Manchester (4.795523 Miles !!!)a 100 times...not bad for a slow kicker...I'm glad to have been in the same field w/ him in our primes.....B

: Congrats to all the other Crows on some
: fantastic racing in Boston and thanks to
: Mary for including me in the updates during
: the race. I've never had live press coverage
: before.
:
: Running as a Crow certainly brought me good
: fotune this year. Although it wasn't my
: fastest Boston ever it was my best time
: since 2002 and it was the only one of 11
: where I ran close to even splits and felt
: great right through the finish line. It was
: one of those days when nothing could go
: wrong.
:
: I was hoping to bump into some of you but
: it's hard to find people in the crowds of
: Boston. Perhaps I'll make it down to the
: July 4th Relay or the Cranberry Island Ultra
: where the crowds aren't quite as thick, but
: the rinning is just as good.
