The runner below did not in my opinion get the attention he deserved last week at the Boston Marathon. If you look at his bib number 1983 he is the last American man to win the Boston Marathon in that year.

I had the distict honor and privledge of riding on the same VIP bus to the starting line with 3 former Boston Marathon champions Greg Meyer 1983, Jack Fultz 1976 and Keizo Yamada 1953. I also met Amby Burfoot 1968 and Joan Benoit Samuelson 1979 at the media center at finish line. Five former Boston Marathon champions all in one day is as the saying goes, priceless!
