This afternoon Gary and I were talking about Boston 2007 and I think that it could be a pretty phenominal year for Crow Athletics. The speed and strength that some of our members have is really amazing. The dudes did sick job last year (pic below -- look at those placings!) Hopefully we will be able to field an equally sick women's team this year as well! Caw! Caw! Caw!

yes indeed M I guess Boston is the next big one for many. In the meantime here is my rough schedule for the next few for 26.2 ers, course everything is subject to change. Gary, I see you have Sugarloaf listed for you in 2007. I was told by a salesman at my local sporting goods store the Sugarloaf Marathon has been cancelled. Have you heard anything on this race? roger your 2007 list is quite impressive! Of these how many have you run before? Which would you recommend? I have not heard about Sugarloaf not happening but have just sent Sue Foster (Sugarloaf RD) a note to find out more details. Last year she pubically announced she was stepping down as RD and asked if I would be interested in helping to keep Sugarloaf going,(the answer was then and is now a definative YES, she also said that she approached Carrabasset Academy located on the route with hopes that they might take it over as a fund raiser or a school project. I'll see what I find out and post it here. Anyone interested in carpooling for marathon daytrips in 2007? I completed 12 marathons this year commuting to most by car. I am interested in traveling to quite a few in 2007. I feel that carpooling could help myself and others compete in races that they might not do otherwise. I have caught the marathon bug but would like to minimize travel cost? I've listed several marathons that I would like to do in 2007. If you are interested in reducing expenses please reply. Things to consider for carpool marathons! 1)Is it driveable? 2)Race packet availability the morning of the run? 3)Can we get 2 marathons in on one weekend? 4)Marathons in a state that I have not run? I would love to split travel cost with a group if there are any other crazy people that do not mind driving through the night from central Maine to line up at the starting line.
