We get many...here is one of the latest. Question. When were Crows first associated with running in Maine and on Mount Desert Island? Answer. If you click the URL below: http://crowrunning.com/background_crow.html you'll find our club history and see two actual vintage copies of Mainely Running Magazine. One shows the cover then on an inside page it shows that the 'Road Crows' were in fact running out of Northeast Harbor on Sundays in the spring of 1991. The second shows another Mainely Running Magazine cover from 1992 with a picture and caption of a member running the Sugarloaf Marathon as first published and seen inside this issue. These are the beginnings of our club and the earliest known printed references to our club's existance. We like the Boston Athletic Association BAA have been around for a fairly long time. (but not quite a hundred+ years, yet!) An interesting fun fact about the evolution of an athletic club is the fabled Unicorn the BAA now uses as their symbol. It did not come along until many years after they were formed. As you can see Runners on MDI began competing as Crows starting in the spring of 1991 and have evolved since. The invention of the Internet and the eventual web site we created was a important moment in our history but not the beginning.

Larry....EXCELLENT !! Internet doesn't tell you that entry fees in to races in Maine, Ma., & Ct.
