Everything about this marathon was great! Thanks so much for sponsoring a 1st class event. Please thank Joan Benoit Samuelson for speaking at the pasta dinner - she is a wonderful person - she took personal interest in each person who came up to her after her talk. It was an honor to meet an athlete whose sterling character shines through as much as her great talent. I hope to be back next year!

Cherry, I've know Joanie since we were both in High School and yes she is the real deal and then some! Me and my crew just got off the course (wed AM) as we're still taking down signs and picking up! Race directing is a true labor of love and we REALLY love what we do. I'm glad you're considering returning in 08. Please help spread the word of what we're doing on Mount Desert Island. Finally, I don't personaly know all of you but feel like we're family! It truly shows that you and your team love what you do - this was honestly the best of the marathons I've run (and that includes 4 Bostons)! I forgot to thank the chefs for the Pasta Dinner - the food was great - not what you would expect for that type of dinner!!!
