Congratulations on your new career in politics!
Yup, you can get down here and back for sure. Traffic will be pretty heavy coming down but it really doesn't get bad until evening (fire works crowd) going back it should be OK. Don't drive thru Ells take the Bayside road. I'd say you should look at runing legs 6, 7 or 8, and I'm sure you'll be running a lot faster than 8s no matter how fast you burn up a 3K. I'm hoping to get Judson to take a leg and I know he is also doing the 3K it would be fun to get you both running the same stretch to compare times after a hard 3K. Of course keeping in mind this is a true relay and you probably wouldn't be running head to head so it will be a time trial.
