Re: Antorn/Antrim
Thank you Sally and Brian for your thoughts. I did intense research on the name in Cornwall and thought the family came from the ancient family of Antrenon thought to be connected with William the Conqueror. Then when I was told about the marr of William and Thomazen in Beer Ferrers I think that William originated in Devon rather than Cornwall. There were traces in Totnes and Barnstaple also a death in Plymouth but couldnt get any connection. Chances of William and Thomasen working or living in Plymouth are I think high but cant fined any records. Dont understand why William stayed in Beer Ferrers after marr unless he was a carpenter and there was work for him. He did put his son in an apprenticeship when they moved to Saltash and I can follow my line forwards from then but not back before Bere Ferrers. Thanks again. Sue
