Many thanks for this thought. What happened is perhaps not worded too clearly in that reference as it is slightly complicated. Bartholomew Yard or Bartholomew Burial Ground was mostly in St Olaves parish but the remaing part lay in 'All Hallows on the Wall parish' which having lost its own church, decided to build a new one if some land became available. In 1837 Bartholomew's Yard burial ground was taken out of use (since the Lower Cemetery and Catacombs was opened), and the part of it in 'All Hallows on the Wall' parish was used to build a new church which opened in 1843 (with the advantage of proximity to the new cemetery so, no need for a graveyard of its own). Hope that helps, and thanks again for your reply which, unfortunately, still leaves me with my original question of where the burial records for Bartholomew's Yard can be found - if anywhere ?
