As regards your Rowland, you have opened a can of worms! Briefly he was born Rawlings/Rollings Edward CROUCH. Married famous singer Anna Maria PHILLIPS (qv "Anna Maria Crouch"). They separated, he adopted the surname CALVERT, remarried bigamously, came to Devon.
