About 12 years ago while I worked for Kinko's in desktop publishing, the order from above came down mandating that each store had to have a notary. I got told to get my notary commission. Admittedly, I knew just enough to get by with the average request, and that's it. I had one customer come in with mortgage docs and was completely lost. My career as a signing agent started with a call from Bank One in AZ, and I took it upon myself to learn the ropes and build my own business.
