We can only hope that the SOS will give us January notaries a break since, it seems to me, CA has changed the rules midstream. We always knew we'd be the first renewing notaries to have to pass a class. But that was all.
Now, with the new legislation passed last months, we suddenly need photos attached to our applications - but many of us took the test before the law was even passed about photos and our apps were sent in by the proctors. And as Kelly said, even the proctors don't know anything about photos being submitted with the apps, but now the SOS is requring them?
How are we supposed to get these to the SOS? Mail them with new apps and hope the office will match them up with the test results? And now we have to get printed and checked again and expect all this to get done by the time our commissions expire in Jan.?
Yikes.
