I so want to believe you that the number of notaries will decrease during the next four years, and I am trying reallly, really hard to be positive in the face of fee cutbacks, too-silent phones, credit tightening, continuing foreclosures, etc., BUT when I was picking up my new notary seal the end of last month (I'm renewing) the owner of the shop told me that just that day he had received the names of 400! new and renewing notaries who would be needing new seals and bonds.
Four hundred in just one day in just one county (Sacramento)!
Like I said, I'm tryng to be positive ...
