Just a heads up to all San Bernardino County Notaries: not sure if this was always the case, since I’ve been fortunate enough to never have had a document rejected, but in any case I thought this was worth mentioning.
I was at the SB County Recorder yesterday to file my bond and I learned that they are rejecting all acknowledgments that do not have the notaries title behind their name so of course they rejected my bond (i.e. On Date before me, name of notary, notary public, personally appeared…..).
According to SB County Recorder this is one of their standards they are enforcing for notaries. They also prefer blue ink to black.
Of course now I have to have the bond company send me an acceptable bond and make another trip. Lucky me.
