Jacque, before getting into the loan signing business, please perfect your skills as a notary. You stated you are a new notary, so first and foremost it is important that you know all your notary laws and how to perform general notarizations. And after you are confident in your notary skills, please take a loan signing class or educate yourself on doing loan signings BEFORE you venture into the loan signing world. Read all the notary boards you can find; this will give you insight as to what is going on in this industry. Experienced signing agents who have done this for many years have had to find other sources of income as the mortgage industry is crippled and struggling. Please do your research. I don't want to discourage you but this is just the worst time to get into this business. I wish you luck if you do decide to pursue this career. It can be very rewarding.
