You will probably want to ask that question of an attorney. Unless somebody here is an attorney, it is illegal to practice law without a license.

: My husband and I bought a car in March
: 2006 and apparently the notary gave us
: the wrong liscence plate. We found
: out in August, he called us twice and
: we forgot all about it, now the plate
: is up for renewal and the lady that
: has our plate is threatening to report
: her plate stolen and have us arrested.
: We called the notary and he said he
: filed paperwork with Pennsylvania
: state stating he made a mistake and it
: is now up to us to find the lady and
: switch plates, he laughed and hung up.
: Can I take legal action? I feel he
: should refund our notary fee since we
: have to do his job by going out of our
: way to trade liscence plates with this
: lady.
