I have done quite a few. After I was called for my first one, a light bulb lit up and I made the rounds to law offices who specialized in that sort of thing and left plenty of business cards at each office. It's always done with an attorney.
It's pretty simple. The attorney pointed to where the client was to sign, and told me which signatures we to be notarized. I charge by the signature plus a travel fee base on mileage. Word of caution. When I go to the attorneys office, I go in a suit and tie. Keep in mind that most large law firms expect their employees in business dress for appearance and professional reasons. I go to the clients home, then I at least wear my sports jacket. and a tie. Not quite as formal.
