I'd like to hear from some of you about what is reasonable when after you print docs, spend time and money going on a closing appointment and the signer is a no show and later calls and says they are not going through with the loan? I've always charged half price on that and felt that's reasonable. I had one scheduler today that has just started sending me deals object to any fee at all when their signer cancelled, and said their office manager wasn't familiar with the practice of paying anything for a cancelation. Any comments?
As independent contractors I think it's unreasonable to just let someone have us print up docs, spend money on gas and use up our time and then get paid nothing for it when their client cancels... What say you?
