While writing a check with insufficient funds is a mistake we all have made (or will make) at some point in our life's, and can be a misdemeanor, writing a check on a CLOSED account is a felony. I would contact your local DA, and the BBB where they are located.

Elsewise, you had a GREAT signer, to step up to the plate like that.
