My experience is that it all evens itself out in the end -- there are signings that take longer than anticipated, and there are signings where I'm in and out in no time flat. I've had TCs that voluntarily offer more money after the signing, but I would NEVER call them to say that I was holding the docs hostage until I got a higer fee.
