As a military spouse signing for my deployed husband a zillion times (property purchases and refi's as well), I signed his name for him and I attested to the truthfulness of statements as well that would have required his oath and signature, had he been present. I looked at it that since I was his "attorney in fact" I WAS him.. I represented him in all ways indicated on the POA. . What state or federal law prohibits one from signing an affidavit as a POA... or, is this just another subject that's been discussed a ton of times on a chat board and so therefore, "it is"? John, I'm not hasseling you - I am just curious as to where you got your info. I've been wrong many times and I'm open to being wrong again, but I have yet to "see" the proof. Make me wrong!!! love, kelly
