costs,
(eg: insurance, license, registration, taxes, depreciation and finance charges) are incurred if you are out driving to signings or letting the car sit in the garage. I look at the "incremental costs " of diriving , (gas , oil changes, tires , excess mileage, etc.{cost incurred only when the car is moving} in determining the profitability of taking an assignment, vs passing it up. I also find that the more I work, the fewer "dead head" trips I end up taking. It is amazing how many times you accept a job and later get another within the same time range that is on the way to or from the first job. .
