    Spending cap

Will be roughly £500m. This is for wages, transfer fees and agents fees. So is this per season? Also anyone know what clubs are currently spending on these 3 things? It will no doubt vary wildly between the biggest and lowest spenders at present.

Look at it this way if a club like man city had 5 players earning 350k a week that amounts to 91 million a season in wages alone which would eat a quarter of the budget. This spending cap will bring a level playing field now as players might want to play for certain clubs and will ask for a lesser transfer fee or lesser wages. Still think they should cap how much a player can earn to something like 150k a week. Baseball have a system where they offer a player something ridiculous like 25 million over 5 years but in fact the players gets a decent fraction of that per year and the rest is paid wheb they retire or leave.
