    Genuine question

Posted by jimmyp on 1/5/2024, 20:51:28

I mean, I'm going to imply superiority, anyway, just because...

But, why do we think that the Premier League are going to impose a points penalty on Leicester for breaking Football League spending rules?

    Cheers, Jim

It was Premier League rules that they broke.

However they are also believed to be on track to break EFL spending rules for this season, and expected to need to sell before end of June to balance expenditure. Any punishment from EFL won't apply until next in EFL.

That's what I was talking about. I wasn't aware that they'd also broken PL spending rules. Didn't really give much of a toss about the Prem until this season, TBF.

Absolutely delighted that my genuine question has made the usual div cry so hard he had to do it under three* names, though.

              Cheers, Jim
